Wayfinding graphic work for the Art Library at Seoul Museum of Art Buk-Seoul. The Art Library is a specialized art archive located on the third floor of Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, housing approximately 10,000 diverse materials including domestic and international art academic books, exhibition catalogs, periodicals, and picture books.

While 'Art Library' is the English name, the nature of a public facility required dual designation in Korean as well. We transformed this from a simple constraint into a design opportunity. We maximized the Korean text size to secure readability while utilizing it as a powerful graphic element. Korean typography became a core element forming the space's visual identity, transcending the function of wayfinding. Visitors can identify the Art Library's location at a glance from a distance while simultaneously experiencing the unique formative beauty of Hangeul.

북서울미술관 아트 라이브러리의 웨이파인딩 그래픽 작업이다. 아트 라이브러리는 북서울미술관 3층에 위치한 미술 전문 자료실로, 국내외 미술 학술 서적, 전시 도록, 정기 간행물, 그림책 등 1만여 권의 다양한 자료를 갖추고 있다.

'Art Library'는 영어 명칭이지만, 공공시설의 특성상 한글로도 이중 명시해야 하는 필요성이 있었다. 이를 단순한 제약이 아닌 디자인 기회로 전환했다. 한글 사이즈를 극대화해 가독성을 확보하는 동시에, 강력한 그래픽 요소로 활용했다. 한글 타이포그래피가 웨이파인딩의 기능을 넘어 공간의 시각적 정체성을 형성하는 핵심 요소가 되었다. 방문객들은 멀리서도 한눈에 아트 라이브러리의 위치를 파악할 수 있으며, 동시에 한글 고유의 조형미를 경험하게 된다.
